Sound in Color
When Music Becomes Visible
The idea for the series “Sound in Color” emerged when Cornelia Seuss was invited to take part in a concert at St. Jakob’s Church in Dachau. Together with other artists from Dachau, a soprano, a trumpeter, and an organist, an evening was created in which music and visual art encountered each other in a special way.
In this series, Cornelia Seuss explores the connection between sound, color, and inner perception. Tones, rhythm, and moods become lines, movement, and luminous color spaces on the canvas.
The works are created from musical impressions — some directly from the moment itself, others in the afterglow of memory, emotion, and inner images. In this way, sounds become visible and music is transformed into color, form, and movement.
