I don't create pictures from a plan, but from a feeling. From a moment of stillness, an impulse, an inner movement. The canvas becomes a resonance chamber - for perception, intuition and experience. It often starts with a photograph. A moment captured in light and form. Sometimes taken by myself, sometimes an image that triggers something in me. But the photo is never the goal - it's the starting point. A trace that transforms. What remains is perhaps a shadow, a line, a feeling.

I usually work on dark ground - like an inner stage on which light is allowed to become visible. Structures emerge, break up again, grow in layers that look like memories. Brushes, palette knives, hands - any tool is welcome. Control and intuition dance with each other. The works tell of vastness. Of transformation. Of light.
